Chekere or Shekere is a traditional African Percussion musical instrument made from a hollowed gourd called Calabash and wrapped with handcrafted synthetic mesh with seed beads.
The sound is made by either shaking the gourd, twisting the beads or rhythmically tapping against the leg. Please note this is a natural product and there may be some slight variation in size and shape.
